The list of services below is from public information sources.  Most of the agencies below have lots of resources, including cash, down payment, legal, rent assistance, scholarships, grants, and much more. Keep in mind that there may be an occasional delay or what may seem like a slow process. You will have to be persistent and do the follow up with many of these agencies. I’ve placed asterisks next to the agencies I think will give you the fastest help with rental assistance. In all instances, you will want to go to the agencies and be present with your needs request as sometimes phone calls may be passed over as not being a serious request for assistance. If you need to use a computer and/or a place to work, make copies, or print things, please feel free to visit my office. I’m usually in the office till 4:00 P.M. but will stay later if there is a need. I look forward to working with you. REACH Program Utility Assistance Provider: Dollar Energy Fund Contact: (800) 933-9677 Description: This program offers a one-time annual energy assistance sponsored by PG&E. It is available to low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals who have received a 15-day or 48-hour notice. Intake can be done over the phone, and the maximum assistance is a $300 credit towards their bill every 18 months.
